Summary and Overview of the Position
In this role you will have the opportunity to work across markets such as US, UK, and India and will be responsible for growing the Business Strategy in line with Gutenberg’s growth trajectory.
This is a strategic role that comes with the responsibility of driving top line business growth and position Gutenberg as a leading Integrated Marketing firm globally. If you are a self-starter, proactive, someone who looks to take initiative, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment, this role will be most suited for you, as you develop and grow your expertise multi geographically.
Primary responsibilities include and are not restricted to the following.
- Own and lead the Global Sales Strategy for both short term and long-term growth of the organisation.
- Own and drive end to end Sales ideation and budget planning and pricing in line with revenue and business goals.
- Meet and exceed pre-identified and agreed targets within the defined timelines.
- Analyse industry trends while developing calculated plans and consultative presentations and pitches.
- Own the RFP submission process Globally.
- Work with Gutenberg's leadership team to identify expansion and new opportunities for Gutenberg’s integrated marketing platforms.
- Become a subject matter expert on relevant industry and competition developments.
- Stay in front of rapidly evolving operational requirements.
- Ability in strategically target and build high-level relationships within companies.
- Guide, mentor, motivate and grow teams, aligned with Gutenberg’s sales objectives and individual aspirations.
- Identify and support learning and development requirements and ensure relevant training opportunities are planned to stay updated on sales strategies and techniques.
- Ensure best practice development and knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by leveraging existing relationships.
- Build a pipeline of decisions makers, external agencies, and influencers to support Gutenberg’s sales outreach.
- Heighten brand visibility among target stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time and prioritizing effectively.
- Collaborate & work closely with other leadership team members to identify trends and key group interests and concerns or to provide advice on business decisions.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as required.
We would like our ideal candidate to be someone who can demonstrate or possesses the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, economics, management, or related fields. MBA / Master’s degree is preferred.
- 15-20years of relevant Sales, Marketing, Marketing Technology experience in new age digital marketing technologies.
- Comfortable with RFP submissions.
- Sales Experience in global markets specifically markets such as US and UK.
- Knowledge of B2B, Technology and related industries.
- Knowledge of marketing methodologies, digital, PR and mobile technologies is essential.
- Strong consultative selling focus, with a track record of developing opportunities and closing business.
- Excellent in preparing pitch decks and presentation.
- Expertise in closing annual Sales targets keeping with overall organizational goals.
- Excellence in driving continuous improvement in Sales teams.
- Good working knowledge of broad economic and global business trends.
- Good entrepreneurial skills for growing new areas of business.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams, and new clients seamlessly.
- Is a self-starter and proactive, who looks to take initiative.
- Does not need a lot of hand holding, and can thrive in a young, entrepreneurial environment.
