Summary and Overview of the Position
As Sr. Account Executive-Public Relations, focused on key technology clients, you will have the opportunity to work across markets such as US, UK, Singapore, and India and will be responsible for developing and executing plans in line with Gutenberg’s growth trajectory. In this role you would be expected to demonstrate leadership potential and ability to supervise a small team while fostering a culture of initiative and innovation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for global PR.
Primary responsibilities include and are not restricted to the following.
- Supporting multiple Technology clients in execution of PR plans.
- Responsible for owning all the tasks related to execution of the client’s PR plan and ensuring that all client outcomes are delivered in keeping with the company standards of quality, timeliness, and professionalism.
- Strategic and analysis driven research into the media landscape to meet client requirements with a good understanding of the technology industry.
- Knowledge resource for clients and client’s competitive landscape, including public relations tactics used by the competition.
- Create and manage quality content for all client deliverables.
- Required to have good technology media relationships across all media and to leverage these relationships in servicing clients.
- Ensures best-practice development and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Guides and reviews work of junior staff.
- Conducts office or company-wide briefings on media or business trends or specific case studies.
- Supports new business development efforts.
- Become a subject matter expert on relevant client industry developments and market trends.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time, and prioritizing effectively.
- Collaborate & work closely with leadership team members to identify trends and key group interests and concerns.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
We would like our ideal candidate to be someone who can demonstrate or possesses the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations /Communications/Media/Marketing or related fields
- 2 to 4 years of PR experience working with Technology clients.
- Good working knowledge of contemporary media and its operations.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams, media, and clients seamlessly.
- Ability to build media relations with no inhibitions in reaching out to them across geos.
- Excellent research and analytic skills building up to becoming an industry expert.
- Ability to take initiative, learn and work without constant supervision.
- Committed to building strong teams, looks to develop solid relationships and elicit collaboration.
- A creative mindset
